I only feel increased pain when my bowels are not completely empty (and I never took a narcotic). I have been keeping up with laxatives and stool softeners so I go after every meal at least. I had 7 removed hemorrhoids surgically. 4 external hemorrhoids and 3 internal hemorrhoids. I had the surgery on May 28th so it’s been a considerable amount of time. I did see my doctor twice for follow-ups. The last time, I went to I was in tears the entire time. I felt in so much pain that something wasn’t healing correctly. he said that I had some swelling which he wasn’t concerned about. I mentioned that I was bleeding every bowel movement and he didn’t seem concerned. it was too painful when he tried to look internally. Even today, 9 weeks later, I am still uncomfortable, bleeding, and have swollen skin. Does anyone else experience pain still after this long?
I’ve always assumed a fever with an infection so I never thought that was the case! maybe I’m wrong? I think I’m going to call tomorrow and just see if I can get in to see the doc. maybe he can just look externally and let me know that it’s healing properly for peace of mind. the feeling of constantly having to go is the worst. I think it affecting my healing bc of it. I’m pushing so hard that I feel that tear, then I see the clot or drips of blood.
